The Walkmen’s cover of R.E.M.’s “Driver 8” doesn’t make much use of Hamilton Leithauser’s range, but Paul Maroon’s take on on Peter Buck’s guitar intricacies sounds awesome.
Wow, a fresh new way to water down my blog content and drive traffic for a nominal fee! Why bother with localized coverage at an alt-weekly when I can have a rotisserie of the biggest stories available on the web, and not lift a finger?!

The always impressive Yours Truly captures Wavves — fronted by the befuddling Nathan Williams — performing the title track and “Green Eyes” from the upcoming King of the Beach. Wildly not-so-lo-fi, and wildly personal. Most of the people hating on him hard-core are just pissed because he’s so talented as a songwriter.
